Reconnecting | Part 5 | Order

So it's 11:02 PM and I've decide to journal for one last time for the night. After lighting two sticks of Jasmine incense, I realize something about myself that I've never really articulated. I realized that I really enjoy having order in my life. I like doing things a certain way at certain times. I enjoy just knowing that I can be organized. In my room, I like that I know where everything is, on my dresser, all bottles and bowls are facing forward, all hairpins are in their case, all my books are where they should be, my makeup is in my Fantasy Box and I'm happy.

Every week I ensure that my room is clean, swept and mopped, my shoes are put away, all my laundry is neatly folded. I love the idea of having rituals that makes life easy, and traditions that are meaningful. I like the idea of Sabbath Candles though I can't always afford to purchase the sweet ones that I like. I like my incense, that makes my room feel cozy. Aromatherapy helps me relax. I like spraying my room with air fresheners - my bed (pillows included) and my foot mat gets sprayed, my curtains too.

Yes, it's sometimes hard to think that I can be this organized - but really and truly - the parts of my like that are supposed to be more organized, put together, my relationship with God , with my mother, with my boyfriend, my school work - are not so much.

Today I didn't study for my upcoming exams but I did read about the life of Christ and that absolutely helped my relationship with God. Well, I've learned that I can balance my life. I suck at organizing EVERYTHING (and quite frankly, my room's not always) to a 'Tee'. I guess that's another thing to add to my prayer list. Oh! I'm starting a personal pray list. I feel like I need to write down my requests to God. I'll do that tomorrow. Today was quite a day! Can't wait to face tomorrow though.

Thank you God for seeing me through today. I pray that the next will be more productive.
